FAQs
How long will my treatment take?
The therapist or mental health professional will work collaboratively with you to determine the appropriate length and frequency of therapy based on your unique circumstances and progress. They will regularly assess your needs and goals to adjust the treatment plan accordingly. Remember that therapy is not a linear process, and individual progress can vary. It’s essential to maintain open communication with your therapist, discuss your expectations, and regularly assess your progress to ensure you’re receiving the most effective and appropriate treatment for your specific situation.
How many treatments does my insurance cover?
To get accurate information about your specific insurance coverage, it is best to consult your insurance provider directly. They can provide you with details regarding the number of therapy sessions covered, any limitations or restrictions, and any requirements you need to fulfill, such as obtaining a referral from a primary care physician or pre-authorization for services.
What can be expected during my first session?
Therapy is a collaborative journey and your therapist is there to support you. It’s normal to feel a mix of emotions during the first session, such as relief, nervousness, or vulnerability. Your therapist will guide you through the process and work with you to create a treatment plan that suits your needs. A few things to expect would be an introduction, intake about yourself and your emotional goals and as well as confidentiality guidelines.
